Easy Brie-zy!
I made this baked brie appetizer for book club last week and felt like I was cheating. It’s super easy to make. Hence, the title.
Baked Brie with Peach Compote
Ingredients:
1 Brie cheese wheel (a Camembert or similar soft cheese will do)
1 1/2 cups peeled and diced fresh peaches
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the Brie wheel in a casserole dish or baking pan. In a small bowl, combine peaches, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread mixture over Brie. Sprinkle with almonds.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until peach mixture is just starting to bubble and cheese is softened throughout.
Serve warm with baguette slices or crackers and your favorite wine.
